Generations in the Making

November 3rd, 2026 - By

Nabholz superintendent Grant Troillet has been with the company for almost 15 years. As a third-generation Nabholz employee, Troillet grew up surrounded by the company’s people and culture, which helped shape his interest in construction.

“It was born to be, I suppose,” Troillet said.

Troillet believes hands-on experience and learning from mistakes are important parts of building a career in construction.

“Things I wish people knew about construction would probably be the things you can learn. You can learn a lot, especially if you’re on a job from the ground up. You can learn a lot and meet a lot of good people.”

For Troillet, the relationships he’s built and the opportunity to share his knowledge are just as rewarding.

“The best thing about a career in construction for me would be meeting people, teaching what I know, and trying to be better for myself and everybody.”
