Construction of a new FEMA safe room has been completed in time for the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year at Vilonia Primary School in Central Arkansas. The safe room is a multi-purpose area, with three classroom areas for art, music and occupational and physical therapy. The 4,567-square-foot safe room can accomodate up to 700 students, allowing for future growth, and is rated to withstand winds up to 250 mph. The facility features a generator system that automatically unlocks the doors if tornado sirens sound after school hours, allowing members of the community to take shelter in the safe room during severe weather.
Thank you to our talented team members for all of their hard work and to Vilonia Schools for once again putting their trust in Nabholz Construction Services.
