Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA)

Public school districts and non-profit schools — including charter schools and schools affiliated with religious institutions — must comply with the federal Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA); Nabholz is committed to helping Arkansas schools meet these responsibilities.

Environmental Consulting

Any commercial real estate deal or environmental hazard removal — whether it is asbestos abatement or mold remediation — is highly regulated. Many clients rely on Nabholz as an outside consultant to meet state and federal requirements for site assessments, construction permits, asbestos management plans, and more.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) is required for any commercial real estate transaction. A Phase I ESA identifies potential or existing environmental contamination liabilities and RECs.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessment

If a Phase I ESA identifies potential contamination of the site, a Phase II ESA may be conducted. The Phase II ESA is an invasive test that includes sampling and laboratory analysis.

Mold Inspections & Remediation

Mold can be scary in itself, but the underlying cause of mold can be even scarier: moisture where it shouldn’t be. The Nabholz environmental team will guide you through every step of proper mold remediation, from discovering the source of the moisture problem, properly abating and removing contaminated materials, to performing air quality tests to ensure your mold problem is truly fixed.

Organic Animal Matter Removal

Whether it's bats, squirrels or other rodents, or even cats, finding uninvited critters living in your building is a headache. Once they're gone, you still have to deal with the messes they leave behind, messes that often include toxic fumes and contaminated building materials. Our environmental experts can thoroughly clean and restore the affected areas and take steps to help prevent future infestations.

SAFETY FIRST

Nabholz is committed to fiercely protecting all employees, clients, and community members on our job sites. We never place anything over the safety of our team members – not schedule, profit, or production — and we refuse to believe that accidents are an inevitability in our line of work. That’s why in 2015 we launched our Commitments to Live By (C2LB) safety program to confront head-on 12 high-risk activities that can lead to serious injuries on job sites. Our C2LB program includes videos, posters, hardhat stickers, toolbox talks, wristbands, flipbooks, and more — all distributed to our team continually. What’s more, we’ve made it personal — our team members sign the following commitment to stay safe in their work:

“I commit to staying alive today, tomorrow, and throughout this project. I make this commitment because my life matters to my family, to my friends, and to me.”
