On Thursday, September 13th, community leaders, donors, and local youth gathered to celebrate as the last beam was placed on the new Bob Nabholz Boys & Girls Club of Faulkner County. The project, which began earlier this year and will be completed in January 2013, is funded by the “Now Is the Time” fundraising campaign, which is close to meeting its $2 million goal. Brad Hegeman, President of Nabholz South Central Operations, serves as co-chair of the fundraising committee, along with his father Bill Hegeman and honorary chairs David and Jane Nabholz, Tim and Brenda Nabholz, John and Tracy Nabholz, Nancy Nabholz, and Susan Denys.
The new 15,000-square-foot facility is nearly twice the size of the current building, which serves an average of 120 kids each day. And though they’ll have plenty of room to move around inside, the new location at Conway Station Park will allow kids the opportunity to enjoy time outdoors without the worries of heavy traffic that they face at the current location.
The Bob Nabholz Boys & Girls Club of Faulkner County gives local kids a safe, supervised, and positive place to spend their time after school and during the summer, where they participate in safe, educational, and fun activities that help them develop the skills they need to succeed in life. Nabholz Construction is proud to be a part of this project and the positive impact it will have on the local community.
