Serving Those That Serve Our Country

February 17th, 2012 - By

A 2008 report states that there have been over 1.8 million US troops deployed to serve our country. Over one million of those have left families behind here at home. Those families have to continue their lives without their husbands, wives, sisters, brothers or parents.

Among the many hardships these families experience are the things that most families in America deal with on an everyday basis. They just have to do it without vital members of the family to help. From simple things like a dripping faucet or a door that sticks all the way to leaking roofs or damaged foundations, these families are struggling to get by every day.

Employees  of Nabholz Construction Services in Oklahoma City are volunteering to help those families. Nabholz employees are volunteering to provide the basic home repairs that make a difference in the quality of life for those with deployed family members.  For any work that cannot be performed directly by the volunteers, Nabholz is assisting the families in identifying reputable contractors to perform the work. Nabholz then serves as a liaison between sub-contractors and the family to assure the scope and quality of the work as well as that the pricing is in the best interest of the family.

“We’ve had an outpouring of support from our employees. Other companies in the community are starting to get involved as well. We’re very pleased that so many are stepping up to help these military families,” said John McElhany, Superintendent for Nabholz Construction Services.

Founded in 1949, Nabholz is one of the nation’s leading general contractors and construction managers. The company is employee-owned, licensed in 43 states and has offices in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.
