Fayetteville, AR – Yesterday, students, instructors, and community members gathered at The New School campus to celebrate a topping out ceremony for the campus’ new innovation center.
The innovation center is just one component of the schools’ construction plan to accommodate a growing student population. Nabholz is also overseeing construction of a three-story academic building set to open for the 2017-18 school year.
This new building will be home to fifth through 12th grades. The New School previously did not offer classes for these ages. This year’s freshmen will be the first graduating class in 2020.
A bridge on the second floor will connect the academic building to a two-story building housing the innovation center. Construction also includes an athletic center with a full-size basketball court with seating for 450 people. These new spaces will add about 65,000 square feet to the campus.
