The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe contracted Nabholz to construct a travel center with rest areas, fueling stations, and a casino for travelers moving through the area. The new ground-up facility contributes to the tribe’s growing infrastructure to support their members and communities. The project scope included:
- 100-game casino
- Convenience store
- Full kitchen
- Dining area
- Trucker’s rest area
- Bathrooms
- Showers
- Washing machines
- Lounge area
- Fully covered fueling station
- 8 fuel pumps in the front
- 6 Diesel pumps in the back
- 6 RV parking spots with utility hookups
- Dog play area
The travel center was completed within 13 months, overcoming challenges with lead times and delivering the project on time and under budget. With a strong client and design team relationship, CPM tracking and short-term schedule execution, safety procedures, and quality craftsmanship, Nabholz returned 87% of the contingency.
