Nabholz Adds Concrete to List of Established Services

April 24th, 2018 - By

In the construction industry, after the owner and architect have signed off on plans, three basic groups deliver the building—general contractors or construction managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. However, at Nabholz, we make it a practice not to accept “business as usual.” Instead, we seek to deliver the best service to our clients by specializing in a number of areas—one of those being concrete.

Nabholz’ concrete unit works solely as a subcontractor and provides turnkey work for industrial and commercial concrete, place and finish services, and architectural concrete and tilt-up projects. We employ 80 craftsmen, including 8 foremen, exclusively dedicated to concrete work. These craftsmen are some of the top workers in the region, with multiple skills to complete true turnkey projects, specializing in rebar tying, form carpentry, concrete finishing, and field engineering. This unit is equipped through Nabholz’ large fleet of equipment, which includes specialty finish equipment, like riding trowels and multiple walk-behind trowels.

As a subcontractor, this business unit works for Nabholz, as well as directly with other area general contractors and businesses. They target any project 15,000 square feet and larger within a two hour drive time from the Northwest Arkansas region, which includes projects in Tulsa, Fort Smith, and Springfield.

We are direct competitors with the other concrete subcontractors in the region and have already earned a reputation as one of the top subcontractors in the region. We win projects by being the low bidder—something only possible because of our highly dedicated crews who take pride in safety and quality. Often, we get called back to do projects directly for companies in the area because of our quality or we get directly recommended for projects by our suppliers because of the relationships we have built in the area.

Some of the more notable projects in the unit’s resume include

  • Northwest Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Springdale
  • J.B.Hunt Headquarters in Lowell
  • First Place Parking Garage in Tulsa
  • Rogers Historical Museum
  • Pat Walker Health Center at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville
  • The Amazeum in Bentonville
  • Ozark School District Administration Building
  • First Security Bank in Centerton
  • Dave and Busters
  • Many more
