Growing Our People
Since 1949, Nabholz has been committed to growing our people. One of the ways we have honored this commitment is by providing stable employment, training, and advancement opportunities. In 1973, Nabholz University began as Arkansas’ first in-house carpentry apprenticeship program approved by the Department of Labor. It began in an effort to meet the needs of the growing workforce and needs of the industry. By 2013, on Nabholz University’s 40th anniversary, the program had produced more than 160 journeymen carpenters. Many of those carpenters then advanced to superintendents, project managers, and upper management.
Since its establishment, Nabholz University has grown into four craft excellence programs, four project execution programs, and four leadership development programs. Nabholz University also offers mentorship networks and learning content opportunities.
Today, over 800 Nabholz employees have graduated from a Nabholz University program, and more are enrolling every day. Nabholz even offers tuition reimbursement for full-time employees, who have been here for at least one year, to pursue a degree program from a trade school or university of their choosing.
These are just some of the ways that Nabholz reflects our commitment to grow our people, serve our clients, and build our communities.
