Students Partner With Nabholz to Help Douglas County CASA

September 20th, 2016 - By

Lawrence, KS – Nabholz was proud to oversee the construction of the College and Career Center last year, and continues to help students hone their construction skills. During our most recent partnership, Nabholz experts helped students design and build the 2016 Kansas Barn playhouse to benefit Douglas County CASA.

Nabholz Superintendent Steve Kepler worked to secure donations for the building materials, mentored the students who built the playhouse, and even towed a cardboard replica of the playhouse in a local parade.

The CASA playhouse has been on tour in Lawrence this summer, and raffle tickets are still available through September 30th for a $5 donation. This year, CASA staff members are creating a list of agencies, churches, and other organizations that would like to provide a home for the playhouse if the lucky winner decides not to keep it in their own backyard.

The winner will be announced at the CASAblanca benefit on September 30th at Abe & Jake’s Landing. For more information or to inquire about volunteering for CASA, visit www.dccasaks.org.
