January 14th, 2013 - By

On Thursday, January 10th, members of the Mound City, KS community, which is home to Jayhawk Unified School District 346, joined us to celebrate as we broke ground at Jayhawk Elementary. The ground breaking kicked off a $10 million bond project that includes additions and upgrades to the existing elementary school and high school.

Among those who attended the event were members from the Mound City Chamber of Commerce, Jayhawk USD Community Group, Student Council Officers from the High School and the Elementary School, and representatives of Nabholz Construction and Hollis & Miller Architects. During the ceremony Royce Powelson, Jayhawk Schools Superintendent, spoke briefly to express his gratitude to the community for coming together to pass the bond issue that made this project possible.
