Our Rogers team recently joined Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) for an unusual, yet touching, “Ground Breaking” ceremony. The college selected Nabholz to serve as Construction Manager on their renovation project, transforming the former Highlands Oncology building into the new Melba Shewmaker Southern Region National Child Protection Training Center. NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is serving as the first of only four regional partners of the National Child Protection Training Center (NCPTC), dedicated to eradicating child abuse in the United States within three generations. The Center will provide essential “labratory like” facilities to support the training and education of child protection students and professionals who recognize, report and respond to child maltreatment. For more information about the Center and the program, go to http://www.nwacc.edu/web/NCPTC/
Since this is a renovation project and there was no ground to break, our resourceful crew brought out a large piece of sheetrock from the existing building so the project stakeholders could each take a swing at the wall to represent the start of construction, which has now begun and should be complete in about 8 months. We are truly honored to be involved in such an important project for the Northwest Arkansas community.
