Ozark Natural Foods Co-op

Nabholz transformed what was previously a 32-893-square-foot grocery store into the client’s vision of a sustainable, locally driven market and community hub with demonstration and meeting spaces. This project both restored the iconic building in downtown Fayetteville and updated it to meet new sustainability standards, using features such as LED lighting and solar tubes, hot water reclamation systems, and garden space.

Nabholz also added considerable square footage and facilities, including a large commercial kitchen; taproom featuring local coffee, kombucha, and beer; and additional space for produce from surrounding farms. Multiple gathering spaces, including a large, covered patio on the west side, were added to complete the transformation from store to community destination.
