Careers for Veterans
Our company was built by veterans and for more than 75 years, veterans and their families have played a key role in our success. Nabholz recognizes the tremendous skills, integrity, and work ethic you have honed — we would be honored to visit with you or your spouse about career opportunities with our company. And, on behalf of Team Nabholz, we would like to thank you and your family for your service — you are true American heroes!
Military service instills work ethic and practices that align with what Nabholz looks for in employees. A drive to thoroughly complete tasks, show up on time, work with all types of personalities, and willingness to seek out on-the-job training to rise up in rank are all qualities that will help you succeed at Nabholz. We value these traits and value military service when making hiring decisions.
Our benefits reflect our employment philosophy — we invest in our employees, who in turn take care of our company. We’re proud to offer innovative and industry-leading benefits. Read about them here.
SkillBridge
Nabholz partners with SkillBridge, a program for military service members to gain civilian work experience during their last 180 days of service. While employed at Nabholz under the SkillBridge program, veterans will ease back into work in a corporate setting and learn how to apply their military skills in the industry.
We are honored to serve those who have served our nation and look forward to welcoming more transitioning service members into our teams through the SkillBridge partnership.

Wall of Honor
The list of veterans who have worked among the Nabholz ranks begins with our founder, Bob Nabholz, who served in the US Army as a gunner in the 648th Tank Destroyer Battalion during WWII. He fought in France and Germany from 1944-45 and served as part of the occupying forces until his discharge in April 1946. Bob also served as an honor guard for General George S. Patton’s funeral.
We are immensely proud of Bob and of all our team members who have served this country bravely. As a lasting symbol, we built the Nabholz Wall of Honor at our headquarters in Conway, Arkansas. Each medallion bears the name of a Nabholz veteran — a tribute to their individual service to our country. We’ve left room to grow, as we hope to continue our proud tradition of employing and supporting veterans.
Hear from Our Veterans
Marrice Morris Carpenter / Motor Sergeant, U.S. Army National Guard
"When I joined the Army National Guard, I signed on to be a diesel mechanic, so anytime we went for drill status I was always out there with tools in my hands. Now that I’ve been there for 7 years, I’ve become a motor sergeant for Army National Guard. Nabholz is family oriented — everyone watches each other’s back. You’re not going to get rolled over or stomped on here at this company. You can talk to your bosses; they ask how you’re doing. They care once you walk in."
Jason Rehm Superintendent / Former Sergeant (E-5), U.S. Army National Guard
"I joined the army in 2001, right after 9/11. In fact, I was working for Nabholz and quit to join the army. In 2004 I deployed to Iraq – we were in the first wave of soldiers going over there. After getting home from Iraq, I joined the National Guard and served three more years. I’m proud David (Nabholz) let me come back to work, so I set a timeframe of what I wanted to do. I set goals for being a foreman, being a superintendent, and hit all those goals. I think the military training attributed to me being able to achieve those goals."
Eric Ryan Senior Estimator / Corporal, USMC & Sergeant, U.S. Army National Guard
"I have worked at a few different construction companies, and Nabholz goes above and beyond to honor the veterans who work for them. Nabholz is great for transitioning service members. There are several internal orientation and educational classes that instill a sense of pride in the history of the company. This is very reminiscent of military processes and makes all prior or current servicemembers to feel right at home."
