It’s always great to win awards for the buildings we build—we work hard and we truly appreciate every one of those awards—but I really love it when our team gets recognized for the things that aren’t as obvious as big buildings. So when Nabholz received two such honors recently, I was thrilled, but mostly, I was extremely proud of the people who made it all happen.

First, AT&T presented the AT&T 2012 Supplier Diversity Crystal Award to a select group of Prime Suppliers who attained and/or exceeded 21.5 percent diversity utilization in 2012. Nabholz Construction Services was selected as a recipient of the award, which is exemplary of our commitment to collaborating with our customers, suppliers and the local communities alongside of AT&T. Notably, the award recognizes our performance, which contributed to AT&T exceeding its diversity spend target for its Prime Supplier program.

Nabholz is fully committed to developing and utilizing a diverse supply chain, so we’re especially proud to receive this award from AT&T. As the construction industry struggles to find enough qualified subcontractors and suppliers, we want to do everything we can to strengthen and support good firms as a way to improve the industry and our own ability to serve our clients.

Secondly, Tulsa Business & Legal News named our Tulsa office as a finalist in their 2013 Employees’ Choice Awards, recognizing Tulsa’s best places to work. Nabholz has been in Tulsa for over 20 years and is committed to growing our presence in Oklahoma. One way we’re doing this is by providing a work environment that attracts the most talented people in our industry. We strive to create a positive, fun, friendly and productive workplace where people truly care for one another. Nabholz is deeply committed to our people and our values, and we’re proud to receive this recognition of our Tulsa team’s efforts. Plus, it’s always nice to hear that people think that this is a great place to work!
