Part of a $130 million bond package passed by patrons of the Jefferson City School District, the project at Jefferson City High saw its two main buildings adjoined, in addition to extensive renovations and updates. These included remodeling the existing cafeteria and kitchen, gymnasium, and administration areas; classroom and Career Tech additions; new construction of athletic fields and buildings; and library and media center renovations.
In addition to the updates at the existing high school, the bond package included construction of the new 270,000-square-foot Capital City High School. The entire bond project was completed on time and under budget using the Construction Manager at-Risk delivery method.
