Brush Creek Lift Station Repair and Force Main Improvements

Springdale Water Utilities contracted Nabholz’s civil team to rehabilitate an aging lift station and improve nearly 5,000 LF of force main sewer line. Our team utilized line stopping and temporary bypass pumping to safely divert sewer flows and maintain continuous service during construction.

During construction, the owner experienced operational issues that reduced the lift station to a single functioning pump. To mitigate the risk of service disruption, the project team re-sequenced work and coordinated with trade partners to accelerate the execution of lift station improvements. The work was safely completed without interruption to the community’s sewer service, and the overall project was delivered on schedule and at no additional cost to the owner.

The project scope included:

  • 4,740 LF of 16” C900 force main sewer line
  • Replacement of all station piping
  • Installation of new electrical disconnect switches
  • 9,440 lbs. of pipe fittings
  • Five air release valves and vaults
  • Two 12” line stops with thrust collars
  • Epoxy coating of a 1,700 SF wet well
